A SIMPLE RULE. A DIFFERENT WAY TO SEE IT.
Small things can
carry a lot.
A weight farther from the centre has more leverage. A shape weighing one unit, two hooks out, can balance a two-unit shape one hook out.
The beam moves to show which side has more pull. The balance check uses the exact total on each side.
Later puzzles include a fixed weight. It stays put; everything else is yours to arrange.
